WebI have seen lots of posts about a broody mama and chicks being kept in with the flock, and that usually mama will defend her babies no problem. I’m wondering if that would be the case here, or if it’s not worth the risk. I have 5 hens and 1 rooster. My Bielfelder hen is by far the sweetest, but is also lowest in the pecking order.
