WebMay 22, 2007 · I forgot to mention when this fuse blows the transmisson acts up also. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem. I don't understand how the load leveler has anything to do with cold air not blowing through the A/C or why the trans acts up when this fuse blows. We unhooked the load leveler and it still blows the fuse. WebI have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am that blows the ERLS fuse everytime the mail transmission connector is plugged in. I tried to ohm out the trans' connector (internal wiring) but everything reads as shorted together which should be correct per a Haynes manuel wiring diagram. I problem is each pin also reads a short to ground.
