I just recently swapped my engine (same 4af), and the transmission start to give some shifting issues after the swapped. I already did check/replace items below: 1. Fluid level on HOT mark (during engine ON after warm up) 2. Change filter. WebNov 3, 2011 · Transmission was flaring between 3rd and 4th gears with delayed garage shifts. Replaced PCM, Torque converter, Pump Assy, cluthes (the 4 cluthes were not burnt, but did have metal grit stuck in the friction material) Installed new clutch and 4C clutch retainer was melted to the reverse flush cooler. Installed new PCM and flashed PCM.
