WebDec 7, 2006 · In the course of a normal folder compacting process, the nstmp files ARE deleted. It is only when the process ends abnormally that the files are left behind. I suggest you find out first why compacting is not completing properly, then it will not be necessary to delete nstmp files in any way because they won't exist. gcf 84 and 60
